BALDWIN — Hello from Baldwin,

How is everyone’s week going? I hope everyone is having a great one.

We have been having some beautiful weather, not too hot, just like I like it, except for Tuesday. It got pretty warm and the humidity was way up.

But by the time you are reading this, it is suppose to be raining, which we need for the gardens.

Happy birthday wishes go out next week to Georgianna Agee and Joyce Collins, Sunday; Sonya Middleton, Tuesday; Portia Foster, Wednesday; Roger Rhodus, Thursday; Travis Jones and a dear, dear friend, Jeanie Rollins, Friday; and Curtis Kelley, Saturday.

I hope that you all have very happy birthdays and many more happy ones to come.

Happy anniversary wishes go out next week to Ernie and Bobbye Jo Taylor, and Mason and Jenny Griggs, Thursday; and Camiel and Amy Habets, Friday.

I hope everyone has a happy anniversary and many more happy ones to come.

If you don’t have a home church that you attend and you are looking for a church, I would like to invite you to attend Bethel Christian Church here in the Baldwin community.

Sunday school starts at 10 a.m. and worship starts at 11 a.m. Michael Damron, minister of the church, along with the congregation, would love to have you worship with them.

Don’t forget that the Madison County Farmers Market is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the Lowe’s Parking Lot, 8 a.m. util noon.

Corn, beans, tomatoes, sour dough and salt rising breads, sweet breads, jams, jellies, honey, and lots of other produce are still available at the market. Beef and pork are also available.

We hope to see you there!

Thursday was our last day on the EKU Campus at the Park Drive location. We will take about two weeks off while the students come back, and then we will be in a different location on campus.

The Madison County Schools are starting back next Wednesday. So be watchful of the buses and children that will be out and about for the school year.

There will also be lots of parents taking their children to school, so more there will be more traffic around the schools. So, be careful, and I do hope that the children have a wonderful and safe school year.

Well, I guess that is all for now. Please let me know if you hear any news. Just give me a call at 623-4579 or e-mail at pljones61@netzero.com.
