Church presentation was enjoyable

Kirksville News

KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. I hope everyone had the opportunity to see the Kirksville Baptist Church presentation of the living Lord’s Supper.

I was able to attend and it was great. You could tell they put a lot of time and effort in making this a great production.

I think Pastor Butch Pennington said it best, “He could have not been more proud of His church.”

The church was full. During the program, as the presenter spoke, you could hear a pin drop. Thanks Kirksville Baptist for having such an enjoyable program and thanks for reminding us of such a special event in Christ’s life.

Coming up in Kirksville on May 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. is the craft and vendor fair at the community center.

I spoke with Helen Estes and she said the gym is always full and running over into the hallways with booths. It is still not too late to make arrangements to set up your products, call 338-6690.

Mother’s Day is coming up soon and Full Gospel Tabernacle is having a Mother’s Day Brunch on May 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is hosting this brunch for all the mothers and their daughters.

Please feel free to invite your mothers, grandmothers or any special ladies in your life. Please let Ramie or one of the other church ladies know that you would like to attend by May 8.

We had a good friend, Bill Ingram’s dad, pass away. Bill’s dad was a great fellow.

I had the opportunity to experience his knowledge about tractors and farm equipment. We were able to always have great conversions about farming and his son.

He liked to talk about Bill being part of the Gospel Troops. Sorry for your loss.

I have been busy spraying apple trees and weeds. When you are spraying for bugs and weeds, you better make sure you have your containers marked clearly.

I went to a weed control class – oh, yes, there are weed classes – and it was suggested to spray early when the plants are young for a more effective weed control.
