Hi! We’re right back into winter again – brrrr!
I still think folks could be experimenting with our weather somehow (science fiction, maybe.)
If the Chinese could seed clouds to make it rain just before the Olympics to clean the air, what else could be done? Hmmm.
The news around town is those Madison Central Indians bringing home the state championship last weekend. Way to go Indians! Everyone is so proud of all of you!
Don’t forget this Saturday,March 16, Flatwoods Christian Church will have a group going to Winter Jam 2013 at Rupp Arena.
If you plan to go with the group, they will leave Flatwoods at 4 p.m. The “10 Bands for $10” event will begin at 6 p.m. Contact Pat Jones if you want to go.
Get-well-quick wishes are sent to Traca Wooten. We know the broken arm and related surgeries will heal and you’ll be out and about in no time. All your friends have you in their thoughts and prayers.
Next Saturday, March 23, beginning around 9 a.m. or so, weather permitting, folks are asked to join in the Flatwoods Cemetery annual spring clean-up.
Some people like to take care of their loved ones’ grave personally, and that is appreciated.
The volunteers remove flowers and debris that have blown across the premises and generally just try to get things looking nice for the spring/summer season and to aid our caretaker in his mowing.
Waco Community Easter Sunrise Service is set Sunday, March 31, at 7 a.m., on Water Plant Road (off Bend Road,) College Hill. College Hill United Methodist Church sponsors the event. Tim Jones will be the speaker.
Happy birthday wishes to Tammy Tipton and Dennis Rose, March 13; Brandon McIntosh, March 16; Kayla Dargavell, March 20; and Tim Jones, March 22.
Happy anniversary to Tom and Lori Moberly, March 1; Leslie and Jessie Masters, March 8; and Eugene and Debra Styer, March 14.
That’s about it for this week – have a great one (the weekend weather forecast predicts warmer temperatures!)
This Daylight Saving Time switch takes a little getting used to, doesn’t it?
I find myself wanting to stay up later and have a hard time getting up in the mornings – who knew one hour could make such a difference!
