Warmer days ahead?

Baldwin News

BALDWIN — Hello from Baldwin. How is everyone’s week going?

I hope everyone is having a great one.

It sure is cold tonight as I sit here and write my article.  But, if we hold on, it’s supposed to be much warmer this Saturday.

On Tuesday, my brother and my neighbor mowed hay again. It sure has been a good hay year, I believe everyone will have enough hay to get through the winter this year.

Happy birthday wishes go out next week to Beverly Applegate, Sunday; Billy Kelley, Monday; Brandon Howard, Tuesday; John Portwood and Jessica Morris, Thursday; and Jessica Hiten, Justin King and Melissa Barber, Saturday.

I hope you have very happy birthdays and many more happy ones to come.

This will be the last Saturday for Isbell & Smith Farm Fresh Produce at the Madison County Farmers Market.

Other vendors will still be there, but, for us, it is the end of the season.

If you need to order any zucchini breads, sourdough bread, jam, jellies, etc., just give us a call.

Meanwhile, you can get all your fall decorating supplies at the market – pumpkins, cushaws, gourds, fodder and much more, plus some vegetables.

Otter Creek Farm is still there with beef, sold by the pound, quarter, halves and whole beefs. Just give Keith Park a call or drop by the market. He is who you want to see.

It has been a good year and we will miss seeing all our customers, but all good things have to come to an end.

My sisters and I will be setting up at some craft fairs in November, so maybe we will see you there. I will give you more information next week.

Well, I guess that’s all for now.

If you hear any news, be sure to call me at 623-4579 or e-mail pljones61@netzero.com.

I love this time of the year because eggs really do go down in price during the Easter season. I have some new recipes on how to fix eggs besides the coloring part.

Who knew the Easter bunny could fly?

Skeptics can come to the Easter Eggstravaganza in Richmond’s Irvine-McDowell Park on Saturday to see for themselves. However, the bunny still doesn’t fly in bad weather. But on Monday, temperatures in the 60s with partly cloudy skies were predicted for Saturday.
