Ruritan replacing windows

UNION CITY — Union City Ruritan will be replacing windows in the building.

To facilitate this, donations are being taken to have windows done in memory or in honor of someone.

Several windows are already taken and the suggested amount is $25 or more.

The recent Ruritan Halloween party had about 130 children in attendance. Mary Louise Sewell wants to thank everyone who donated items to make it a success.

Doylesville United Methodist Church also used the Ruritan building for a Trunk or Treat event and had a total of 54 children visit.

Lizzie Berry Circle of the Christian Church will have the annual auction and supper Saturday, Nov. 10, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Christian Church will have the annual Thanksgiving meal following Sunday morning service, Nov. 18. There will be no evening service that day.

On Wednesday morning, the gathering at Union City Ruritan totaled more than a dozen people enjoying coffee and talking about the recent election. Everyone is welcome to stop in for a few minutes, sit and talk between 8:30 and 10 a.m.
