A busy weekend

KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. Last weekend was busy for me.

My brother, Jerry, a great backhoe operator, had to dig down to the footer on one end of my basement. I had several cracks in the block. He wanted to secure the footer by adding concrete.

He and my cousin, Rodney, worked for two days repairing it. They made sure the foundation was secure and sealed.

God blessed me by giving my brother that knowledge. Feeling assured a job is well done can bring great peace of mind. After all, it is my house.

Don’t forget this Sunday at Full Gospel Tabernacle at 6 p.m., the service will be conducted by the youth. It will be a wonderful service. It will be one not to miss.

The Halloween Costume Dance at Kirksville Community Center is scheduled Oct. 26. So, get your outfit ready for a night of scary dancing. If it was me dancing, oh yeah, it would be scary.

The trees are so beautiful. I love fall for the colors, but not for the approaching bad weather. I love Halloween as well.
