Union City Baptist Church plans movie night

UNION CITY — Union City Baptist Church will have movie night on Friday at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend and watch “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry.”

Youth of the church are planning to attend Youth Connect at First Baptist in Richmond, March 10-13.

The next pancake breakfast at Union City Ruritan will be Saturday, March 9 from 7:30 to 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend. There is no set price, but donations are accepted.

Union City Homemakers Club will meet Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m.

Evan Denief, who has served as youth minister at Union City Christian Church will be leaving soon. He has accepted an associate position at the Hikes Point Christian Church in Louisville.

Evan’s last Sunday here will be March 17 and he will be preaching during the morning service at Union City that day.

Happy birthday this week to Seth Smith and Dustin Richmond, Saturday; Raymond Parke and Rob Newman, Monday; Barbara Daughtery, Tuesday; and Bethany Pratt, next Thursday.
