How's your November going? Already listening to Christmas music on the radio and in the stores? I know!!
Speaking of Christmas, Bybee United Methodist Church members will be hosting their annual Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 17 AT 6 p.m. at the Waco Volunteer Fire Department.
Chili, hot dogs, dessert and drinks will be served at 6 p.m.. The auctioning of many items including baked items and homemade candy will begin shortly after eating.
Everyone is invited to come and have a fun time of fellowship. (Thanks to Sue Teater for letting us know!)
Flatwoods Christian Church will be having its annual Thanksgiving service on Tuesday evening, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. Refreshments will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to attend.
On Election Day at Waco Elementary, there were flyers on a table just outside the entrance to the school explaining about the bricks for sale to help fund the walking trail. There was a sign that read “Take One.” There also were three sample bricks beside the flyers already imprinted. At the end of the day all flyers had been taken as well as the three bricks. The flyers can be kept, but the bricks need to be returned to the school. We’re sure some person(s) inadvertently thought those were included in the “Take One” flyer information sheet. Thank you in advance for returning those to the school.
Happy birthday wishes are extended to: Ray Agee, Nov. 11; Faye Gabbard, Nov. 12; Gail Smith Lynch, Nov. 14; Pam Smith Hisle, Nov. 15; Joyce Rose, Sandy Jackson, Jessica Moberly Pruitt all on Nov. 16; Patsy Chenault, Nov. 17; and to Kelly Winebarger, Nov. 21.
On a sad note, deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of Freddie McCreary who passed away recently. May it help you to know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of all of us at this time.
Sympathies are also extended to the family and friends of Evon Medlock who passed away last Thursday. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time as well.
