Hello from Baldwin. How is everyone’s week going?
I hope everyone is having a great one.
I know the weather has been beautiful for the first part of the week, but cooler weather and storms are in the forecast, but it has been beautiful so far this week.
With all the rain we have been having, the grass is really growing. I think some people are mowing once a week and some trice here in Baldwin.
The old saying is April showers bring May flowers. If the flowers get any prettier than they have been in April, it will be a glorious sight.
The last couple of weeks, I have been talking about the beautiful trees that are in bloom this spring and they are still blooming. The red buds, pink and white dogwoods, fruit trees, and some I don’t know what they are, but I do love seeing them. Only God can bring such beauty for us to see.
Been seeing gardens planted in the Baldwin area. I have even seen some things growing in my sisters’ gardens.
Happy birthday wishes go out next week to Donnie Kelley, Monday; John McCord and Earlene Thomas, Friday; and Kellie Rosanbalm, Saturday.
I hope all of you have very happy birthdays and many more happy ones to come.
Happy anniversary wishes go out to two dear friends over in the Newby area, David and Jamie Prewitt, Sunday. I hope you have a happy 41st anniversary and many more happy anniversaries to come.
There was a great turnout at the rabies clinic on Saturday. Eighty pets were vaccinated – 65 dogs and 15 cats received their rabies shots. The Baldwin Ruritan Club and Town and Country Vet Clinic sponsored this rabies clinic.
We would like to thank Gary Short for vaccinating the animals and for all his help. Also, thank you to everyone who helped fill out the information for the people about their dogs.
A special thanks to Curt and Brenda Bogie for the use of their shop to set up the clinic.
I hope I haven’t missed anybody, so thanks to all who helped.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Hobart Carnes. Hobart was my mother’s first cousin and was a very special person. He certainly will be missed by his family and many, many friends. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Helen and his family at this time and in the days to come.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. Let me know if you hear any news. Just give me a call at 623-4579 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
