Congratulations to Spencer and Amy Thomas on the birth of Blake Wyatt Thomas, Tuesday, Jan. 8.

He weighed seven pounds, nine ounces and was welcomed home by his two-year-old brother, Paul Haden Thomas. Gary Thomas is the grandfather.

Our sympathy goes out to Gary Thomas and family on the death of his father, Paul Thomas. Mr. Thomas had lived in Florida for many years. His funeral was Friday and the burial was in Thomas Cemetery on  Brookstown Road.

Happy birthday this week to Tara Thomas, Friday; Chritopher Luke Tipton, Saturday; Joseph Stephens, Sunday; Carlovon Wells, Tuesday; Danna Snapp and Shannon Snapp, Wednesday; and Rachel Fritz and Meghann Hart, next Thursday.
