BALDWIN — Hello from Baldwin. How is everyone’s week going?

I hope everyone is having a great one.

It is a beautiful time of year, with trees blooming in all their glory and flowers are blooming, also.

With all the beautiful, warm weather we were having the past few days, comes rain to help everything grow.

Have you noticed how the grass is greening up, yes, everyone is mowing and grooming their yards. But the pastures also are greening up and, hopefully, the farmers will soon quit feeding the livestock, if they haven’t already done so. Oh, what beauty God has given us all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people in Boston, those who lost love ones and those that are hospitalized. May God be with all of you and your families.

May we all come together in this once again tragic event in our country and put our faith and trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I saw some of the neighbors planting and working in their gardens yesterday. It was a beautiful day to do some planting and gardening.  Oh, won’t those fresh vegetables taste good in a little while. I can hardly wait.

Happy birthday wishes go out next week to James Ponziano, Sunday; Houston Jay Miller, Monday; Ray Wilson and a very special friend, Sharon Meadors, Tuesday; Miss Kaitlyn Hurt, Wednesday; Aja Jacobi, Thursday; and Gypsie Lee Cosby Jones, Friday.

I hope all of you have very happy birthdays and many more happy ones to come.

Happy anniversary wishes go out next week to Jerry and Audrey Day, Tuesday; and Carroll and Ilene Perkins, Friday. I hope both these couples have very happy anniversaries and many more happy ones to come.

Mark your calendar because on Saturday, April 27, Baldwin Ruritan Club will be sponsoring a rabies clinic along with Town and County Veterinary Clinic.

The clinic will be at the shop across from the home of Ellen Harvey at 315 Whitlock Road.

Veterinarian Gary Short will be giving the vaccinations from noon to 1 p.m. The vaccination will cost $5 each.  Please bring your pet in a pet carrier or on a leash.

Well, I guess that’s all for now. Let me know if you hear any news. Just give me a call at 623-4579 or e-mail at pljones61@netzero.com.
