PAINT LICK —
Good morning, readers, what a gorgeous Tuesday!
The air is heavenly with sunshine so bright, it will hurt your eyes.
Our weather sure has been up and down the past two months, but it has made the garden ground workable and, with all the help we get from God, it will be a good growing season.
Paint Lick is again “on the upswing” as my friend would say. We have another business in the old Starnes Service Station called Wildcat Transmission. It is run by Art Gibson and Shannon Smith and, as the name implies, they work on cars and trucks of most any kind.
As of this writing, everything is not up and running the way they’d like, but someone is over there most days and you can call them either on the cell 859-661-3204 or at home 859-625-4194.
Stop by and ask about what they have to offer in the way of automotive repair.
The Friends of Paint Lick are busy this Tuesday morning with donations of all kinds and we like to keep our building working that way.
If you have anything you’d like to donate, please call Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays at 925-2417 or you can call me at home 925-2203 and leave a message. I’m always out and about my yard, but I will call you back.
Happy birthday to Linda Caldwell today, April 18. Linda is a wonderful addition and supporter of Friends.
If I forgot to mention the birthday of Lisa Hawley on April 8, I am so sorry! Lisa is a great lady and we all love her at Paint Lick Christian Church. Happy belated birthday, Lisa.
A reminder ... cleanup days on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Pilot Knob Cemetery. There will be a dumpster on the grounds to help with the debris. I intend to help out for at least one day. I hope to see a bunch of families out helping, also.
It does help a great deal when the boys get ready to mow the grounds and it always looks so pretty whenever it’s done. An accomplishment in which we can all be proud.
Have a wonderful week and May God bless.
