RICHMOND — Hello everyone. Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Susie of the Roundhill Store is celebrating with a Thanksgiving meal this Thursday from 11-2p.m. She will be preparing the traditional meal. You know  — all that turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy and of course pumpkin pie to top it off. It will be a great meal. Just think: You won’t even have to cook this one. All you have to do is just sit and eat.

The community Thanksgiving meal at the community center will be on Wednesday , Nov. 21. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. If you have never attended, well it is about time that you get started. The night will begin with an opening prayer of Thanksgiving, followed by a few songs. A brief message will be brought by Butch Pennington of the Baptist Church. A pot luck meal and lots of fellowship is to follow. All the Poosey and Kirksville churches gather to thank God for all the blessings throughout the year. Even though there have been hardships of loss of loved ones this year, we all still gather to share the blessing that God continues to bestow upon all of us. Many other churches join in with us as well. Everyone is welcome. Try to bring a can of food that night for the Salvation Army. I would love to see that gym full.

Don’t forget to make a winter drop off to the Clothing Closet on Saturday at 9 a.m. All those in need please stop by to get some good used clothing. These items are free to those who are in need. I know there already has been some local fires.
