Hayride and cookout Sunday at the Yorks

Kirksville News

KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. Don’t forget the hayride and cookout at the Yorks this Sunday at 2 p.m.

David and Tonika invite anyone who would like to join in good Christian fun and food to come to their house at 3136 Broaddus Branch Road.

Food will be served at 2 p.m., followed by games for the kids and adults, then the hayride before dark. I hear they may even have apple bobbing.

Full Gospel Tabernacle will be canceling church services that evening to join the fun at the Yorks.

The church will be in full swing the following Sunday with an evening service by the youth. If you missed the youth service last time, you won’t want to miss this one. It is fun and a great blessing. Mark your calendar for 6 p.m., Oct 21.

The Clothing Closet will be open from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kirksville Community Center. The ladies open the closet to serve those in need of clothing. Cool weather is approaching, so stop by with your donations to help others.

Have you noticed the start of the beautiful colors around Kirksville. We have a beautiful community.

If you have never visited Kirksville and Poosey, you should come down and take a scenic ride. Take your time because some of the roads are curving and narrow, but it is worth your time.

Stop by the Roundhill store for some great food or a snack. Susie is bad, she had those great looking pies sitting in the glass showcase just saying, “eat me.” That is just what I do.

I love this time of the year because eggs really do go down in price during the Easter season. I have some new recipes on how to fix eggs besides the coloring part.

Skeptics can come to the Easter Eggstravaganza in Richmond’s Irvine-McDowell Park on Saturday to see for themselves. However, the bunny still doesn’t fly in bad weather. But on Monday, temperatures in the 60s with partly cloudy skies were predicted for Saturday.
