The Madison County Human Resource Council and the Richmond Area Ministerial Association (RAMA) are hosting an informational potluck luncheon Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Richmond.
Gathering time begins at 11:30 a.m. in the church’s Harper Multi-Ministry Center. Lunch is at noon.
Representatives from a variety of community-service organizations will be there to tell about the services and/or ministries they provide.
“This is an informal event and an excellent chance for attendees to network and communicate with each other,” said Pastor Charla Gilbert, RAMA president.
Any volunteer or paid service group and all pastors and representatives from area churches are invited to attend to learn more about offered services and to share about services they provide, Gilbert said.
“Our hope is that through sharing what each of us are doing in the community, we will be better equipped to care for our citizens and congregations,” she said.
RSVPs can be made by emailing email@example.com or calling 624-9714.
“This event is a great opportunity to improve communications about the service work we all are doing in the community,” Gilbert said. “There are so many churches and volunteer groups, and county services that provide for the physical, emotional and mental needs of many people in Madison County.”
