Southern Gospel group to perform at Morning Pointe today

Special to the Register

RICHMOND — Dumplin Valley Trio Southern Gospel group will perform at Morning Pointe Richmond Senior Living on Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. The Dumplin Valley Trio began in 1980 and was started by Kyle Underwood. The band was comprised of five men calling themselves the “Dumplin Valley Boy’s.” They sang together until 1985 when the group changed over to the “Dumplin Valley Trio,” with Carroll Barnett, Gerald Wolfe and Kyle Underwood.

In 1987, there came a change again when Gerald Wolfe left the group and Donna Underwood Shelly began singing with them. The trio is from Morristown, Tenn. They play a couple of concerts a week and are looking forward to many more years in the ministry of singing our Lord’s praises.
