Hello everyone. Kirksville Baptist Church is still in practice mode for their dramatic presentation of “The Living Lord’s Supper.”
Practice will be Saturday at 6 p.m. The play will be April 27 at 6 p.m.
Kirksville Community Center will have a car show on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It will also be a tractor, truck and motorcycle show as well. It will consist of old and new “rides.” So whatever you rid, bring it to the show.
It will also consist of a swap meet. If you are interested in trading up or just selling your ride, this would be a great time to do so. Registration will be from 9 a.m- to noon. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m. Registration will be $20. Contact Mike Estes 328-4430 or Don Battles 358-3905 for more information.
The organizers of this car show also are trying to assist the Salvation Army food bank. They are encouraging all visitors and all participants in the show to bring a can of food or any nonperishable food for the food drive.
The craft and vendors fair will be coming up on May 18 at the Community Center. Contact information will be available at 338-6690 or kirksvillecommunitycentergmail.com
Well, we may have missed Good Friday, but we have our potatoes out. Actually, Dad and Mom took care of cutting up the potatoes and planting them.
Last year, we had a terrible time trying to get the (1-40) tractor to run. It was all messed up. We had it in the shop, so thanks Ernie. The tractor starts easy and runs like a top. Dad used the tractor to cover up the potatoes.
The Kirksville clothing closet is usually open on the third Saturday of the month, but since the center is having the car show that day, the clothing bank is going to be open on April 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. They have been closed for the past few months and they need a little preparation time. You know, straighten up the mess. It is almost like spring cleaning.
