Union City News

UNION CITY — Union City Christian Church will have its annual pancake breakfast Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

This is a fundraiser for youth activities. Phyllis Renfro, Ray and Emily Burns are heading up the breakfast. An egg hunt is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

Union City Baptist Church will present a traditional Easter drama Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. The church will host a sunrise service Sunday at 7 a.m. Chip Denief of the Christian Church will be the speaker. Men of the church will prepare breakfast to be served after the service.

Everyone who attended the soup bean supper last Saturday had a great time. The two gospel music groups were enjoyable. The beans and cornbread were great!

There will be a rabies clinic on Saturday, April 6, at Union City Ruritan. Bring your dogs and cats.

We wish the power of the resurrection on everyone as we celebrate this weekend. May every day be a day of new resurrected life!

Happy birthday wishes this week to Dee Dee Lawson and Glen D. Allen, Friday; Jim Flenner, Saturday; Ed Richmond, Sunday; Rob Harris and Miranda Edwards, Monday; Mark Kenner, Tuesday; and Diana Allen, Wednesday.
