Hello everyone. It has been busy for the Gilead Church in Poosey.
They just finished their vacation Bible school, just as the Kirksville Baptist Church did.
Now, the Gilead Baptist Church will jumped into a revival. It will begin Sunday night at 6 p.m. with preaching by Bill Vanwinkle. The rest of the week will begin at 7 p.m.
Mark McGuire will be singing on Monday night, and there will be special singing nightly. The Full Gospel Tabernacle will be joining on Wednesday night, this will be the last night of the revival. Proof of Grace will be singing then.
It is always a pleasure to join in with the Gilead bunch. They always treat you great. Everyone is welcome. It is a good country church with great country members.
The Full Gospel Tabernacle youth group will be presenting “For The Bible Tells Me So” on Sunday at 6 p.m. It will be a blessed night. You know it will have to be great. It is the children’s version of Bible stories.
I finally have finished canning and freezing cherries. This was the first year that I fixed cherries. The fruit trees seem to be bountiful this year.
I may been having some difficulty with the garden, but it is coming on now. The green beans are coming up and my second planting of corn is up now.
OK neighbors, I know that you already have beans probably ready to bloom while mine are just now popping out of the ground. Dad and I just have had a difficult time.
Now the trick will be to keep away the crows, the turkeys, the groundhogs and the possums.
It all makes you think, why did I put out a garden. But, us farm girls never quit.
