KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. I have just found out that Kirksville Baptist Church is going to be having a back-to-school bash as well. The event is scheduled for Aug. 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The church will be having a hot dog lunch, games, prizes and free school supplies. The Kirksville Baptist Church would like to invite the Kirksville community kids through sixth grade to stop by.

So, if your child needs help getting ready for school, there are different dates, different times and different churches in the Kirksville/Poosey area to get school supplies.

Starting things off with the Back-to-School Bash will be The Gilead Baptist Church in Poosey this Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. They will be having a bouncy blow-up slide, a cook-out, a back-to-school store with free supplies and a free prize table.

Then “The Bash” will be on Aug. 3 at the Kirksville Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Then on Aug. 10 from 8 a.m. to noon, The Full Gospel Tabernacle will be having a back-to-school bash. They will be having hot dogs, free school supplies and gently used clothing. The child must be present to receive a new school outfit.

The Kirksville clothing closet will open Aug. 10 to coincide with the Full Gospel Tabernacle back-to-school bash. They will be able to add to your clothing needs.

The Full Gospel Tabernacle would like to thank all those that helped with the bake sale fundraiser at Lowe’s. They had great success and a great time of fellowship.

Susie is having a fish fry on Friday night from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roundhill store. The last fish fry, I saw some friends that I rarely get to see. It was super when they told me that they always look for my column and watch for Susie’s fish fry. They wouldn’t miss them. I do understand, the fish and all the fixings is really good.
