Gardens in Waco progressing nicely

WACO — Hi!

Can you believe that this weekend will wrap up the month of June? Where does the time go?

This week has felt more like July, with the steamy temperatures and humidity, hasn't it?

Wonder what July will bring us?

Gardens out this way are progressing nicely. Cucumbers are beginning to come in and tomatoes are on the way.

Breanna Whittamore enjoyed a special “girl's only” birthday swim party/sleepover last Friday in honor of her 8th birthday. Of course Mom was invited, but Dad had to be “uninvited” because it was only for girls. Never mind the fact that June 21 also was Mom and Dad’s anniversary. Breanna is the daughter of Mark and Jennifer Whittamore.

Congratulations, Jamica and family, on the birth of your baby boy!

Deepest sympathies are extended to neighbor and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sparks of Fllint Road. Most of you know their son Wayne passed away about two weeks ago, and three days later Mr. Sparks’ sister Elsie passed away. Please keep this family in your prayers.

Not much else is going on that I’ve heard about. No news is good news, I suppose.

Have a great weekend!
