KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. I am starting to pick my corn. It is really good. The tomato plants are full of big, green tomatoes. The cabbage is drowned out and the green beans are just now greening up and getting ready to bloom. I see beautiful gardens all around, it is just not mine.

The clothing closet will be open from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday at the Kirksville Community Center. Don’t forget next month they will be open on Aug. 10 along with The Full Gospel Tabernacle for their back-to-school bash.

The Full Gospel Tabernacle will be having a fundraiser sale in the farmer’s market area of Lowe’s parking lot. The proceeds will support the back-to-school bash. Stop by and get some goodies.

The church is in need of school supplies for the back-to-school bash, if anyone would like to participate they can drop off at the church or call me at 328-9181.

It is difficult to think about school yet, but it is just around the corner. I hope the kids are having a great summer.
