Valentine sweetheart meals successful

Kirksville News

KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone.

The Valentine sweetheart meals for Kirksville Baptist Church and Full Gospel Tabernacle were a big success. The youth participated with great enthusiasm.

Fundraisers for the youth help them to do other projects for the community and those in need.

Thanks to all who helped participate in such a worthy cause.

Don’t forget Parson John will be at Kirksville Baptist Church on Feb. 24. A church-wide BBQ is planned as well.

That viral bug that is floating around is terrible.

Remember to do lots of hand washing. If you are sick, try to avoid others until it passes. It spreads quickly. My family has had a touch of the bug. It is not fun.

Well, Cathy Jo, my niece, has bought a house. It is a “fixer upper,” but with time and help it will be very nice. I just wish it was already fixed up.

It is an older house with a lot of history. Lots of volunteers to help with the work would be nice because it is a big house. I have already roped Don into repairing some siding and got Rickey to do some wiring.

Again, lots of volunteers would be great.
