Treble Clef Youth Chorus off to great start

Spring concert slated April 29

RICHMOND — The Treble Clef Youth Chorus is off to an amazing start this spring. Many new students have joined the chorus and are having a wonderful time.

April 29 at 7 p.m., the Youth Chorus will present a spring concert entitled “Songs We Love.” The concert will take place at the Richmond Area Arts Center, 309 W. Water St.

Some of the selections for this concert are: Kentucky Jazz Jam, Sleep Kentucky Babe, Everybody Wants to Be a Cat, Shenandoah, Freedom Is, I Am His Child, This Train, Accentuate the Positive, and Shake the Papaya Down. Admission for the concert is $5. 

Students in grades 1 through 8 may join the chorus until March 4. Rehearsals are conducted Monday evenings 5:30 to 6:30pm at the Richmond Area Arts Center.

The chorus is directed by RAAC’s executive director, Deborah Kidd, and accompanied by Linda Hensley.

“I love the Treble Clef Youth Chorus because it’s so professional,” said one of the students. Another student enters each week proclaiming, “I am so excited to be here!”
