Can you believe it is August already? The weather has felt a little bit “fall-ish” and so refreshing after those sweltering days just a few days ago. It makes one wonder what the fall and winter will bring -- will we have an early autumn?
Not much going on around our area, or at least not much that I know. Gardens are coming in so I suppose folks are gathering tomatoes, cucumbers and picking those green beans. Apple trees are producing a bounty this year, have you noticed the trees hanging full? It’s interesting to take notice of things that grow/produce well one year and then not so well the following year (I’m going to remember which ones did well this year and compare it next year -- of course, I always say that and can’t remember what it was I wanted to remember!!).
Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Mary Ann Mabes Damrell and Sophia Brown (July 28); to Skip Margle (July 29); to Patti Baker and Pam Proctor (July 30); to Sarah Mischke (July 31); to Shawn Bernstein (Aug. 3); to Joe Stewart and Anita Palmer McKinney (Aug. 4).
Happy anniversary to A.J. and Diana McDonald on July 28!
Speaking of weddings, congratulations and best wishes to Josh Brandenburg and Kayla Dargavell who “tied the knot” last weekend (July 20) in a beautiful outside ceremony. May your life together be healthy, happy and prosperous!! (Love ya both!!)
That’s about all I can think of -- have a great week. (On a personal note, please keep Joe Linn and his family in your prayers. Thanks.)
