Car show planned Saturday in Kirksville

Kirksville News

KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. The Kirksville Community Center car show will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be a show, shine and swap meet.

They will be acknowledging the top 15 with awards. They will be having specialty awards, veterans awards and ladies choice. The trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.

There will be door prizes, raffle, food, cornhole and games. Please don’t forget to bring a can of food for the food drive for the Salvation Army.

Kirksville Baptist Church is ready for its presentation of “The Living Lord’s Supper” on the April 27 and 28 at 7 p.m.

You may have noticed they have a little construction going on, don’t worry, at the pace they are going, they will have it completed by the time of the presentation.

The clothing bank will be open on April 27. This is the first time for a few months. They had to close because of the cold weather. They will be ready for a big crowd. They are passionate about helping others. These ladies dedicate their time to open up for those in need. They are a great spiritual support as well.

I have noticed gardens are plowed and ready for planting. I bought more seed the other day for our garden. It may still be a little early for plants. You never know about this weather. I was glad for a few really nice days.
