PAINT LICK —
What an absolutely wonderful Tuesday morning here in Paint Lick, as I sit and think about how very nice everyone is to us here at The Friends of Paint Lick.
A group of volunteers here at Friends have just returned from a delightful sit-down breakfast at the home of Hal and Yvonne Davis.
It was a labor of love, I am sure, to have us over for this delightful breakfast of hot pancakes with syrup and nuts on top, a gorgeous fruit dish, and all the hot coffee we could drink.
Friends, Ike and Loretta Adams, John and Loraine Todd, Linda Caldwell, Dora Bowles, Janet Perry, Rickie Collett and myself were met with such joy at this candlelit Christmas gathering. Thank you, Hal and Yvonne, so much.
The children of Paint Lick Christian Church were in high spirits this past Sunday as they made Christmas snowmen and were served a breakfast of hot, homemade cocoa, biscuits and sausage, and orange slices by the Sunday School teachers. It was a delight to see them eat.
This coming Sunday, the children of the church will be helping put together the Christmas play.
Everyone is welcome to visit us at Paint Lick Christian Church.
I know you will enjoy the morning services and especially the words by our blessed pastor, Ted Faulconer.
Services begin at 10 a.m.
To my niece, Betty Jane Anglin of Waco, a very merry Christmas and happy birthday on Christmas Day.
To Jay Johns of Lancaster, a wonderful day to you on Christmas Eve and happy birthday to Mrs. Hilary J. Cox Vanoy of Lancaster on New Year’s Day.
Merry Christmas to all my readers and may God bless.
