KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. The fish fry is back.

Susie at the Roundhill Store called to tell me she is going to have a fish fry Friday night from 4 to 8 p.m.

I know many have missed the fish fry. The winter months lessened the availability for many to get out in the cold. So, spring is here and the fish fries are here, as well.

So, come by and let Susie know how much you appreciate all the effort she puts into the fish fries.

Along with the fish, she will be serving baked beans, hush puppies, home-fried potatoes and cole slaw. Don’t forget the dessert.

Kirksville Baptist Church will be presenting “The Living Lord’s Supper” on Saturday, April 27, at 7 p.m.

They have been working diligently on this presentation. They are having many rehearsal nights.

It is on a Saturday night, so everyone should be able to attend a great program. You know celebrating Easter should be an everyday worship.

Kirksville Baptist Church is busy in preparation of helping others. They will be including their members in the disaster relief recert and certification training at the Tates Creek Baptist Association office on April 13 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

If you were certified more than three years ago, you will need to be recertified. The cost will be $40.

Don’t forget the Car Show at the Kirksville Community Center on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be a show, shine and swap meet.

Plaques will be awarded for the best of the show in each category. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m. Registration fee for all entries is $20.

The Easter egg hunt at the Carpenters will be this Sunday after the morning church service. That chance of rain better be a small chance. This is the third try. We are going to succeed this time.

Last Sunday was just too muddy. I would think the parents would have killed me if their child was covered in mud.

I do remember as a child, along with my cousin, Carol, and two other friends, we had a mud fight. It was not a pretty sight, but it was a lot of fun.

However, we were not in our Sunday best.
