Christmas spirit bounding throughout Kirksville

Kirksville news

KIRKSVILLE — Hello everyone. Have you seen the Christmas lights at Mom and Dad’s?

If you haven’t, then you have not been in Kirksville.

Their house is all lit up. I live in Springlake subdivision and I can usually see their house just as I round a certain turn in the subdivision, but now I really can see their house. They really have the Christmas spirit.

The Christmas spirit is bounding throughout Kirksville.

Full Gospel Tabernacle will be having its Christmas dinner this Sunday after morning church service. They will not be having Sunday school nor evening service that day. The meal will be potluck.

Kirksville Baptist Church will be having the children’s “Birthday Party” for Jesus on Dec. 8 from noon to 3 p.m.

Kirksville Baptist Church will be having a community-wide Christmas caroling on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.

After the caroling, everyone is invited to return to the church for fellowship and refreshments. Please make plans to join them as they celebrate and share Christmas together.

Don’t forget the Clothing Bank is in need of winter coats. They will be open on Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. at the community center.

Don’t forget, Kirksville volunteer fire department will be signing up junior firefighter volunteers on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. at the fire station. You must be age be at least 14 years old and completed the eighth grade.

Also on Dec. 15, Santa will be making his rounds in Kirksville. The fire department is helping Santa give the reindeer a rest by letting him visit the children on the fire truck, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
