Hello from Baldwin. How is everyones week going?
I hope everyone is having a great one.
I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather we are having. By the time you read this, we are suppose to be having some storms and rain pass through with some cooler temperatures to follow.
Have you noticed all the beautiful trees in bloom?
I know some are Bradford pears and weeping cherry, but there are some I don’t know what they are. I guess the red bud and dogwoods will soon be blooming, also. Always wanted a dogwood tree in my yard, but still haven’t gotten one. They are so pretty.
I want to thank everyone who worked to help with the community roadside cleanup and to those who keep your property picked up all the time.
Our community is beautiful, and we need to keep it that way. It broke my heart when I learned that on Saturday night someone had already thrown trash out on the roadside. Shame on you.
Happy birthday wishes go out next week to Bobbye Jo Taylor, Sunday; Eli Hayden and Mary Collins Anderson, Monday; my nephew, Kendall Jones, Tuesday; Dakota Farthing, Thursday; Kevin Perkins and my brother, Wesley Jones, Friday; and Dennis Roark, Saturday. I hope all of you have very happy birthdays and many more happy ones to come.
Happy anniversary wishes go out next week to Perry and Jean Bogie and Ronnie and Earlene Thomas, Sunday; and John and Amy Chasteen, Thursday. I hope all of you have very happy anniversaries and many more happy ones to come.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 27. The Baldwin Ruritan Club will be sponsoring a rabies clinic, along with Town and County Veterinary Clinic. The clinic will be at the shop across from the home of Ellen Harvey at 315 Whitlock Road.
Veterinarian Gary Short will be giving the vaccinations from noon to 1 p.m. The vaccinations will cost $5 each. Please bring your pet in a pet carrier or on a leash.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. Let me know if you hear any news. Give me a call or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
