WACO — Hi! Straight from late spring weather into deep winter. My granny would say, no wonder people are sick!

It was good seeing Martha Quillen the other day, even if it was at the doctor’s office.

If you wonder what is happening at Flatwoods fellowship hall during the week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to noon, a GED class is being offering and it started today. The teacher is Aileen Perkins.

This program is free to anyone who needs it and is operated by the Continuing Education & Outreach program of EKU, Jerry Haffner, director.

Coming up next Sunday at 6 p.m., Flatwoods will show the movie, “October Baby.” The movie deals with the sanctity of life and abortion.

We’re glad to hear Guy White is back on the good ol’ USA soil. We’re proud of you, Guy, and happy to have you home!

Happy bithday wishes go out to Judy Mabes, Jan. 13 Jake Anglin, Jan. 19; Kandacer Dennis, Jan. 20; Beth Fox, Jan. 21; and Rick Mark Marcum and Brooke Spence, Jan. 24.

That’s about it for this week. Have a great one and try to stay warm!
