EKU orchestra to perform Schubert’s “Great” symphony

RICHMOND — The Eastern Kentucky University Symphony Orchestra will present a concert on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m. in the EKU Center for the Arts.

The program will feature Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 in C major, known as “The Great,” and a new work by contemporary composer James Romig entitled “Glaciers.”

Directed by Professor Jeremy Mulholland, the 70-person regionally honored orchestra is one of the few collegiate, student-only orchestras in the state.
