Christmas in the Village set Dec. 5

Hello readers, our weather has been absolutely beautiful and the true autumn colors are everywhere. I have been traveling some in the early mornings along White Lick Road and down around Frog Branch Road. It is amazing what you can spot when you don’t have any idea where you’re going, as I have this past week. My travels have not been that extensive, but in trying to find someone, I usually end up going all over before I get to the correct spot.

Flatwoods Thanksgiving service Tuesday

Can you believe next Thursday will be Thanksgiving? Time does fly, doesn’t it? Didn’t you just love the beautiful warm, sunny weather last week? Alas, it has taken a “fall-ish” turn this week.Waco Elementary School has been the place to be the last couple of weeks. On Wednesday of last week, a beautifully moving program was presented by the students honoring our veterans. Letters of thanks and appreciation for our men and women in uniform were written by students in the upper elementary grades, then read during the program; other grade levels drew pictures and wrote cards of appreciation which were on display.
