My wife Pat and I went to the Pioneer Playhouse in Danville last Thursday evening. The current play is “The Infamous Ephraim” written by Holly Henson, about Dr. Ephraim McDowell, the first doctor in recorded history to perform abdominal surgery. We have been to many performances at the playhouse, and in my opinion this one is the best!
