Students at Clark-Moores Middle School took their engineering minds to the drawing board Friday, more specifically, to several sheets of poster board.
As part of a special activity led by Bechtel-Parsons Engineer Catherine Otis, Troy Blankenship’s science class broke into teams of six and designed scaled-down drawings of famous skyscrapers from around the world.
With one foot representing 200 feet in the drawings, some skyscrapers will take as many as four sheets of poster board to complete, Otis said.
The students were unable to finish the drawings by the end of Friday’s class but when completed they will displayed at the school, Blankenship said.
