Daniel Boone Elementary Fall Festival Friday

Register staff report

RICHMOND — Daniel Boone Elementary will celebrate its 50th birthday Friday with a Fall festival.

The event will feature the Mr. and Ms. Boone contest, a 50-year-old school tradition brought back this year.

Alumnus and former teachers/staff are encouraged to enjoy the “Reminisce Room,” which will display yearbooks, trophies and memorabilia from the past 50 years.

Judges from Bella’s Cupcakes and cafeteria personnel will judge homemade cupcakes in The Birthday Cupcake Wars.

There will be vendors and crafters, a basket auction, a haunted stage and carnival-style food, games and activities. “Proud Pioneers For 50 Years” T-shirts will be on sale for $10 (short sleeve) and $15 (long sleeve).

The event is all indoors at the elementary school and will go on rain or shine.
