RICHMOND — Deputies with the Madison Sheriff’s Office home incarceration program arrested a Hager Drive man Wednesday on a second charge of drug trafficking.
George Robert Richardson, 45, also was charged with second-degree escape and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. His wife, Paula Diane Richardson, 40, was charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
The deputies went to the residence at 101 Hager Drive, Apt. 7, to serve an arrest warrant, according to an MSO news release. Richardson was out on bond in a drug-trafficking case.
The deputies reported finding 222 methadone pills (street value $2,200), 21 oxycodone pills (street value $630) and $6,726 in cash along with a firearm.
The Richardsons were taken to the Madison County Detention Center. Paula Richardson was released Friday afternoon, but George Richardson remained at the jail.
