iPhone stolen at beauty supply store

RICHMOND — An employee of Sally Beauty Supply in Richmond Centre reported Monday that her white iPhone 4 had been stolen from the employee lounge in the late afternoon.

According to a Richmond Police Department news release, the employee stated that two women entered the store and engaged her in conversation while the other woman walked to the rear of the store near the lounge. When the woman returned from the rear of the store, both suspects departed. The employee then went to the lounge and found her phone missing, the release stated.

The phone is estimated to be worth $250.

The two suspects were described by the employee as black women in their early 20s. One was wearing white sweat pants and a hooded sweatshirt with writing on it, the other was wearing a white puffy jacket and white sweat pants. Both women wore their hair in ponytails, according to the release.
