Register staff report
An Irvine man was charged Monday with stealing $900 worth of state lottery tickets from the Redi Mart at 2032 Irvine Road in Richmond.
On Feb. 25, the manager of the convenience store reported David T. Harrison, 22, allegedly entered the store and asked to use the restroom. Instead, Harrison made a detour to the store’s office and stole the lottery tickets, according to a Richmond Police Department release.
A followup investigation identified Harrison as a suspect in the theft and a warrant for his arrest was issued Feb. 28, the release stated.
On Monday, Kentucky State Police located Harrison in Estill County, and he was lodged in the Estill County Detention Center under a $50,000 cash or $100,000 property bond, according to jail records.
