Armed robber takes narcotics from Richmond Drug

Register Staff Report

RICHMOND — A middle-age white man with a handgun walked into Richmond Drug, 1071 Berea Road, around 5 p.m. Wednesday and demanded all of the store’s Percocet and methodone pills.

Richmond police were dispatch at 5:13 p.m., according to RPD Chief Larry Brock.

Store employees told the officers that after asking a question at the counter, the man brandished a handgun and demanded the narcotics. Employees gathered the drugs and handed them over to the robber who then fled, the police report stated.

The suspect was described as a white male, 50 to 60 years old, with gray hair and gray scruffy facial hair. He was wearing black prescription eyeglasses, a black toboggan, a dark colored T-shirt, a black jacket and blue jeans. The adjacent image was captured by a surveillance camera.

A search of the area failed to produce the suspect, according to the police report.

The quantity of drugs taken will not be release, Brock said.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the Richmond Police at 623-1162.
