RICHMOND — Richmond police are investigating these crimes reported Monday and Sunday:
• A complainant reported that his self-storage unit at A&A Storage, Catalpa Loop, was broken into over the weekend. Entry was gained by cutting the lock from the unit door. Reported missing were: a white Kenmore washer, model 26-5062; a white Kenmore dyer, model 26-6062; a new green Huffy 16-inch bicycle with training wheels; a new red Huffy Rockstar 20-inch bicycle; and a Dell or HP desktop computer. Estimated loss: $1,560.
• The manager of Richmond Green Apartments reported that a Shop-Vac series 90L vacuum cleaner and a Greenworks 1700 psi power washer were stolen from a storage room at the complex possibly as early as October 2013. Estimated loss: $270.
•A resident in the 100 block of Smith Ballard Street reported that an ATV was stolen from his backyard during the past week. The lock securing the vehicle was cut. The pink, black and gray ATV is a 2007 Kawasaki Brute Force, V-twin, 650cc. Estimated loss: $7,000.
• A resident in the 100 block of Longview Drive reported that a red Murray push mower, model No.100000, was stolen from his carport during the past two weeks. Estimated loss: $154.
• A patron of LaQuinta Inn reported that a Magellan GPS unit, a cellular telephone charger and three personal checkbooks were stolen from her parked vehicle overnight. There were no signs of forced entry. Estimated loss: $200.
