Woman arrested on strength of drug-trafficking warrant

RICHMOND — Regina Arvin, 44, of Keri Ann Drive, was arrested Thursday on an indictment warrant charging her with two counts of first-degree drug trafficking, according to a news release from the Richmond Police Department.

Arvin was indicted by a Madison County grand jury in April.

According to the release, bike patrol officers encountered Arvin at her residence where they took her into custody.

Two Estill District Court warrants for failure to pay fines also were served on her.

Justin Gerber, who was with Arvin at the time of her arrest, also was taken into custody on the strength of a Fayette Circuit Court warrant for a parole violation.

Both were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center where they remained Friday evening, according to the jail’s online records.



Woman charged in connection with stolen trailer

Amanda Horn, 23, of Kristin Drive, was arrested Thursday on the strength of a Lexington warrant and charged with receiving stolen property (under $10,000) in connection to a theft reported in July.

On July 22, a resident of Gen. Cleburn Drive reported to the Madison County Sheriff’s office that a 5-foot-by 8-foot utility trailer had been stolen from his residence.

On July 24, police connected Horn to the theft, and a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to an RPD news release.

According to the report, Horn was lodged in the detention center pending transport to Fayette County.



Woman charged with second-degree burglary

Police charged Erin Johnson, 33, of Caroline Drive, with second-degree burglary Wednesday after witnesses reported seeing her enter the window of a residence on Purcell Drive and exit with a white bag.

According to the report, officers found Johnson on a moped being operated by another woman. The bag was hidden in a cargo compartment on the moped, and it contained four silver dollars which the owner of the residence said all belonged to her.

The victim said $700 also was missing from the home, but it has not been found.

Johnson was lodged in the detention center where she remained Friday evening, according to the jail’s online records.
