41 vehicles vandalized at Toyota South

RICHMOND — Richmond Police were called Sunday to Toyota South on Four Mile Road in response to a report of several vehicles being damaged.

According to an RPD report, the representative told officers 41 vehicles on the lot had been damaged, appearing to have been keyed. The vehicles had scratches on one or both sides as well as the rear, with damages totaling $41,000, the report stated.

Reported thefts & burglaries

Wednesday


• A resident in the 1600 block of Foxhaven Drive reported her residence had been broken into during the day and several items worth a total of $515 were stolen. Entry was gained by forcing open a bedroom window, the report stated. Reported stolen were: a small, black safe containing $300 in cash, two PlayStation video games, an Xbox video game and a clear piggy bank containing $60 in change.

Monday

• A representative of Radio Shack in Richmond Centre reported a man had shoplifted two black iPod Touch MP3 players worth $458 during the evening. The representative said the man indicated he wanted to purchase the items, and the employee placed them on the counter. When he did, the man grabbed the items and fled. Officers were unable to find the man after searching the area.

He is described in the report as being about 30 years old, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing 170 pounds, with a short beard. He was wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a tan hat.

Police later discovered that a similar theft was committed at a Radio Shack in Georgetown by a suspect fitting the same description.

• A patron at Bob Evans restaurant reported his black Kyocera cell phone worth $200 had been taken from his table. The victim told officers he inadvertently left the phone on the table after finishing his meal, and when he returned to retrieve it, it was gone.

Sunday

• A Timothy Way resident reported 20 to 30 CDs, a black CD case and a Sony remote control for a car stereo, all totaling $315, had been stolen from his parked and unlocked vehicle overnight.
