MADISON COUNTY — A Madison County man was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after he fired shots into a family member’s vehicle, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Steven N. Dargavell, 49, Dreyfus Road, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 4:17 p.m. of shots fired on Webb Road, which runs between Red Lick and Dreyfus roads, the release stated.

While en route, the deputies were told by a dispatcher that Dargavell had left the home on Webb Road and had gone to a residence in the 200 block of Gravel Lick Road.

He was arrested at that home, where he told the deputies he’d had an altercation with family members on Webb Road, according to the report.

Dargavell had fired shots into an unoccupied vehicle that was in the driveway at the Webb Road home, the MSO reported. Four family members were inside the residence at the time.

There were no injuries from the altercation.
