RICHMOND — Foxhaven Drive apartment burglarized

A resident in the 1600 block of Foxhaven Drive told police Saturday that his apartment had been burglarized that evening. Entry was gained by forcing open the back door, according to the RPD.

Items reported stolen were five sterling silver Avon rings; $500; an LG 60-inch plasma television; a Samsung laptop computer; a Sony PlayStation 3 with eight games; and a Netbook tablet, Premium 10 model. Estimated loss is $4,290.

Arrest made in March theft case

Kayla S. Grubb, 22, of Ty Court, was charged Thursday with several crimes in connection with a theft investigation from March.

A resident of Ty Lane reported March 20 that several belongings had been stolen from his home some time during the past two weeks, according to an RPD report.

The missing items were pieces of jewelry, and the victim also told police other items – an iPhone, personal checks, a handgun and a debit card – had been stolen from his home in the past.

He identified Grubb as a suspect in the thefts, the report stated.

Police found Grubb on Thursday and interviewed her at the police station. Afterward, she was charged with theft by unlawful taking (firearm), receiving stolen property (under $500) and fraudulent use of a credit card (over $500).

Grubb also was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance after police reported finding 16 oxycodone pills in her purse at the time of her arrest.

Anyone with information about these cases is asked to call the Richmond Police Department at 623-1162.
