Two cars go missing from Toyota South car lot

RICHMOND — A local car dealership is short two vehicles after Richmond police say they were reported stolen Wednesday.

A representative of Toyota South told police that a silver 2011 Toyota Corolla (KY license plate #029-LZG) and a beige 2002 Toyota Camry (KY license plate 238-BAM) were taken sometime during the previous 10 days.

The two vehicles are worth a total of $24,000.

Appliances, fixtures taken from homes under construction

A representative of Hager Builders told police Tuesday that three houses that are under construction in the 5000 block of South Crosspoint Court had been burglarized last weekend. There were no signs of forced entry, a Richmond Police Department news release stated.

Several appliances were stolen, including a black GE electric stove, a black GE refrigerator, a black GE microwave oven, five white interior doors, a white marble vanity top, two bathroom faucets, a kitchen sink faucet, a garbage disposal, a water heater, a kitchen sink, a commode and a black GE dishwater.

The stolen items are worth a total of $2,715.

Electronics stolen from Big Hill Avenue home

A resident in the 400 block of Big Hill Avenue reported Monday that his home had been unlawfully entered during the mid-afternoon and several of his belongings were taken. There were no signs of forced entry, according to the RPD release.

The missing items, worth a total of $880, are a gray Toshiba laptop computer, a black HTC cell phone with a black and red case and a gray Olympia digital camera.
