Woman accused of stealing income tax return debit card
Richmond police have charged a woman with stealing a tax-return debit card after preparing another person’s income tax return.
Kenna R. Agee (aka. Bicknell), 29, Spurlin Motor Home Park, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking (under $10,000).
A Villa Drive resident told police Wednesday he allowed Agee to prepare his 2012 tax returns, and he was supposed to received his refund via a prepaid debit card, according to an RPD report.
When the debit card did not arrive in the mail to his home, he checked with the company that sent the card and discovered it had been sent to Agee’s residence. It also had been activated, he was told.
Officers investigated and found evidence that indicated from Feb. 16 to March 1, Agee used the debit card to make multiple cash withdrawals totaling $3,963.
Doors reported stolen from truck
A manager at Adams Buick GMC, 1017 Berea Road, told police Tuesday that all four passenger doors had been stolen from a red 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck parked on the lot during the night. Estimated loss is $10,000.
• A resident in the 100 block of Crescent Hill Drive reported that a Springfield Armory .357 caliber handgun, model XD, had been stolen from the trunk of this vehicle some time between March 15 and March 18. The gun is valued $450.
