Richmond KSP Post makes 177 arrests in January

RICHMOND — Kentucky State Police detectives and troopers of the Richmond post made 177 criminal arrests in 11 counties during January, according to a news release from the agency.

Seventeen arrests involved individuals driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. In addition, 93 criminal cases were opened, and 984 complaints were investigated.

The post responded to 48 traffic collisions, assisted 109 stranded motorists and issued 297 courtesy notices.

Troopers issued a total of 1,386 citations, 169 of which were for speeding. Four were for no child restraints, and another 118 were for not wearing seat belts.
