3 injured in home invasion

Register Staff Report

MADISON COUNTY — Three people were treated at area hospitals Monday night after a home invasion was reported at a residence between Berea and Paint Lick.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 10:24 p.m. about a burglary in progress in the 200 block of Peytontown Road, according to a MSO news release.

The resident, Danny Ashcraft, had been stabbed in an altercation with Jason K. Blair, the release stated.

During the fight, a woman visiting the home, Pamela Horn, took Ashcraft’s 1994 Dodge Dakota and wrecked it less than a mile from his home.

Ashcraft was treated and released Monday night from Saint Joseph Berea hospital, and Horn was treated for minor injuries, according to the MSO.

Blair initially was taken to Saint Joseph Berea and then transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Blair was arrested on unrelated charges and taken to the Fayette County Detention Center. The sheriff’s office is investigating the incident and charges are pending, the release said.

Horn also was arrested on unrelated charges from Rockcastle County and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
