‘Fun With the Arts’ after-school classes still open
Now is the perfect time to register for “Fun With the Arts” after-school classes.
These wonderful classes are for students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

RAAC’s Rio Carnival is Feb. 28
Shake off the winter blues with RAAC’s “Rio Carnival” at the EKU Performing Arts Center’s lobby Friday, Feb. 28, from 7 to 10 p.m.
Admission is $30 and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, live music, jugglers, drinks, cash bar and more.

Join the Treble Clef Chorus
Get ready boys and girls! The Richmond Area Arts Council is now accepting spring registrations for the Treble Clef Youth Chorus.

Rehearsals for the spring semester will begin Monday, Jan. 13. Rehearsals are 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. each Monday at the Richmond Area Arts Center, 399 W. Water St. Tuition for the spring semester is $60.
Madison Singers gear up for spring semester
If you love to sing or would like to improve your vocal techniques the Madison Singers of the Richmond Area Arts Council is the perfect choir for you.
It is directed by Dr. Richard Waters, associate professor of music and director of choral activities at Eastern Kentucky University, where he directs the university’s three choral ensembles. He also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in conducting and choral literature.
Decorative painting classes at RAAC in January
Get off to a great start in the new year with the first RAAC Art Class of 2014!
Classes will be conducted Jan. 15, 22 and 29 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Richmond Area Arts Center, 399 W. Water St.
This class will involve painting on tile – yes, tile like your kitchen floor.

Learn to ballroom dance at RAAC!
Dance categories covered during eight weeks of classes beginning Feb. 10 include waltz, rumba, cha-cha and swing.
The beautiful Grand Hall in the Richmond Area Arts Center is the perfect place to learn to dance or refresh your steps. The classes will take place 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays from Feb. 10 through March 31.
